Domain Safety Check

Check if a domain is safe from malware and phishing. Supports .com, .net, and .org.

About Domain Safety Check

What does this tool check?

This tool performs two main safety checks for your domain:

  • Safety Threat Detection: Using Google Safe Browsing technology to identify malware, phishing schemes, unwanted software, and other safety threats.
  • Google Index Status: Checks if the domain is indexed by Google and shows the number of indexed pages (only for domains marked as safe).

These combined checks provide a comprehensive overview of your domain's safety status and search engine visibility.

Which domain extensions are supported?

Currently, this tool supports root domains only with the following extensions:

  • .com (Commercial)
  • .net (Network)
  • .org (Organization)

Please enter only the root domain (e.g., example.com) without www or https://. Subdomains and other TLDs will be supported in future updates.

How many checks can I perform?

To ensure fair usage and prevent abuse, we have implemented the following limits:

  • 10 checks per hour per IP address
  • Each check requires a unique safety token
  • The limit resets automatically after one hour

This free service is designed for individual users and small businesses. If you need higher limits for legitimate purposes, please contact us.

What do the safety status indicators mean?

Our tool displays clear status indicators for easy understanding:

  • ✔ Safe (Green): No threats detected. The domain passed Google Safe Browsing checks.
  • ⚠ Threat Detected (Red): safety issues found. The domain may contain malware, phishing, or other threats.
  • ✔ Indexed (Green): Domain is indexed by Google with searchable pages.
  • ⚠ Not Indexed (Yellow): Domain is not found in Google's search index.

Always exercise caution with domains showing threat warnings, as they pose serious safety risks.

How does a safety flag affect SEO and domain value?

A safety threat detection has severe consequences:

  • SEO Impact: Search engines will heavily penalize or de-index the site, causing organic traffic to collapse.
  • Browser Warnings: Major browsers will display safety warnings, preventing most users from accessing the site.
  • Trust & Reputation: The domain loses all credibility, making it unsuitable for any legitimate business use.
  • Domain Value: Resale value drops to near zero - flagged domains are considered "toxic assets" in the domain market.
  • Recovery Difficulty: Even after cleaning, it takes months to rebuild trust and remove all blacklist entries.

For domain investors and businesses, a clean safety status is absolutely essential for maintaining value.

How accurate and current are the results?

Our tool provides real-time checks with the following considerations:

  • Google Safe Browsing: Updated continuously, typically detects threats within hours of discovery.
  • Google Index Status: Reflects current indexing status, though actual indexing may lag by days or weeks.
  • False Positives: Rare but possible - legitimate sites occasionally get flagged incorrectly.
  • False Negatives: New threats might not be detected immediately.

Important: While highly reliable, no safety tool is 100% perfect. Use these results as one part of your safety assessment, not the sole determinant.

Is this tool really free?

  • No registration required
  • No hidden fees or premium features
  • No data collection beyond basic rate limiting
